Summary: A HVAC/Electrical Technician will install, maintain, and repair HVAC systems, focusing on the electrical and instrumentation components that control and monitor those systems. This role combines HVAC technical skills with troubleshooting, calibration, and maintenance of electrical and instrumentation systems within HVAC environments.
Essential duties and responsibilities- Installing new HVAC systems, including furnaces, heat pumps, chillers, and air conditioning units.
- Troubleshooting, calibrating, and maintaining instrumentation and control systems for HVAC.
- Performing routine maintenance tasks such as cleaning ducts and filters, lubricating parts, and checking for leaks.
- Diagnosing and repairing electrical faults within HVAC systems, including low‑voltage wiring and electrical components.
- Providing service calls to address customer concerns, explain issues, and offer solutions.
- Identifying and resolving issues with HVAC systems, including electrical and mechanical faults.
- Adhering to safety standards and regulations when working with HVAC systems.
- Reading and interpreting blueprints, schematics, and work plans to ensure proper installation and repair.
- Possessing a strong understanding of HVAC principles.
