Position Summary

U.S. Auto Force
, a division of U.S. Venture, Inc., brings together more than 100 years of experience as an industry leader in the distribution of tires, undercar parts, and lubricants to independent tire retailers, auto repair shops, and automotive dealerships.

The schedule for this position is Monday - Friday 5:00 am - 1:30 pm or until the job is complete. Schedules are subject to change based on business needs and may require overtime.

Job Responsibilities
  • Provides leadership to assigned personnel through effective goal setting, performance reviews, delegation, and communication; provides measurable feedback, suggestions for improved performance, and recognition for achievements.
  • Conducts interviews, hiring, and training as necessary.
  • Supports the safety programs to ensure compliance with policies and regulatory requirements. Maintains a safe working environment for all associates.
  • Assists with process improvement initiatives.
  • Conducts regular meetings to ensure that personnel are well informed of policies and procedures and continually enforces productivity standards.
  • Ensures excellent customer service and communication.
  • Ensures drivers are completing all required daily paperwork:
    • Driver hours log (when needed)
    • Pre‑trip inspection sheet
    • Driver’s vehicle inspection report
    • Daily vehicle mileage and fuel report
    • All paperwork is submitted promptly to the corporate office.
  • Dispatch:
    • Assign product to be pulled by material handlers.
    • Route paperwork/product to the appropriate area.
    • Ensure drivers are completing customer returns within 3 days of creation.
    • Collect COD logs daily to ensure cash and checks are collected.
    • Communicate to CSR’s, Sales, Customers, Other locations, and Drivers effectively.
  • Fleet:
    • Monitor state and federal DOT regulations.
    • Ensure all PM’s are performed on a regular basis.
    • Ensure all repairs are performed to stay compliant with federal regulations.
    • Assist drivers in making proper arrangements when a breakdown occurs.
    • Coordinate Smith Training for drivers.
  • Operates power equipment, including forklift.
  • May work as a backup driver as assigned or directed.

Physical Demands & Work Environment
  • Frequent standing, walking, sitting; use of hands, arms; climbing stairs; balancing, stooping, kneeling, crouching, or crawling; ability to lift up to 80 lbs; handling tires up to 70 lbs.
  • Requires wearing steel or composite toe boots, safety vest, harness, seatbelt, SRL (self‑retracting lifeline); all equipment provided except for steel/composite toe boots.
  • Potential exposure to weather conditions, moderate noise, and fumes from tires and lubricants.
Qualifications
  • 3 years of related experience.
  • Skills sufficient to supervise drivers and material handlers.
  • Knowledge of state and federal DOT regulations.
  • Knowledge or ability to learn computer systems.
  • Willingness to work overtime or flexible hours on short notice.
  • Good memory and scanning abilities.
  • Strong communication and math skills.
  • Ability to lift up to 80 lbs.
  • Ability to learn to use a forklift.
  • Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.
  • Successful pre‑employment drug test (non‑THC).
