As we continue to look for more sustainable ways to build, we need world-class talent to join our team. We are seeking a Mechanical Engineer Intern for Summer 2027 who is passionate about sustainability, driven by curiosity and keen to grow, learn, develop and thrive in our high-performance culture. This opportunity will be a 10-week, paid internship beginning June 1, 2027.

This internship will be based out of Midlothian, TX.

• Equipment Maintenance:
  Assist in the maintenance, repair, and optimization of mechanical equipment. Review and interpret existing P& to make necessary updates based on engineering changes or field data
• P&:
  Assist in creating and modifying P& using AutoCAD software, ensuring accurate representation of piping systems and instrumentation.
• Support Engineering Team:
  Collaborate with senior engineers to interpret P& and understand the layout of equipment and instrumentation.
• Safety Protocols:
  Assist in the implementation and monitoring of safety protocols and procedures to ensure compliance with industry standards.
• Skill Application:
  Utilize a range of skills and knowledge in day-to-day operations, working collaboratively to achieve team and company goals.
• Executive Presentation:
  At the end of your internship, you'll present your learnings and contributions to our executive leadership team.

• Currently enrolled in an undergraduate program majoring in Mechanical Engineering. Maintenance Engineering, or related field.
• Strong academic performance with a solid understanding of engineering principles.
• Geographic flexibility to work at various sites.
• Excellent communication skills, both oral and written.
• High energy and a proactive approach to tackling new challenges.
• A team player who can collaborate across different levels of the organization.
• Willingness to spend significant time in the field, gaining hands-on experience and firsthand knowledge of our business operations.

• Work Schedule:
  
  This is an onsite role with a mandatory 40-hour work week, Monday through Friday, working an 8-hour shift each day.
• Work Environment:
  You will be working in a plant manufacturing and production environment, which includes exposure to moving mechanical equipment, airborne particles, and various weather conditions.
• Transportation:
  You will be responsible for your own transportation to and from the worksite.
