Role Description
This is a full-time, hybrid position for a Bankruptcy Attorney, with the majority of work performed remotely. Candidates must be based in the Dallas–Fort Worth area, as occasional in-person work will be required depending on client needs. Our DFW-area offices—located in Arlington, Midlothian, and Burleson—are available for use as needed. The Bankruptcy Attorney will be responsible for representing clients in bankruptcy cases, including Chapter 7 and Chapter 13 proceedings.
Tasks include counseling clients on bankruptcy options, preparing bankruptcy filings and motions, and representing clients in court. The attorney will also work closely with debtors and creditors to navigate the intricacies of bankruptcy law and ensure clients are informed throughout the process.
- Experience in Bankruptcy Law, including Chapter 7 and Chapter 13
- Experience working with debtors and creditors
- Proficiency in preparing and filing legal motions related to bankruptcy
- Strong legal research, writing, and communication skills
- Understanding of creditors' rights and legal procedures
- Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school
- Active license to practice law in the state of Texas
- Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills
- Ability to work independently and handle multiple cases simultaneously
