Project Implementations Manager - 1st Shift - Travel

Join GXO Logistics, Inc. as a Project Implementations Manager, working 1st shift (Monday‑Friday, 8:00 am‑5:00 pm). In this role you will help new business startups, improve operational efficiency, and drive financial success through effective project planning, execution, and delivery.

What you’ll do on a typical day:

• Establish realistic goals and create action plans for new business implementations.
• Guide and direct project team members to ensure compliance with established standards, procedures, and guidelines.
• Ensure availability of financial, material, and human resources required to complete projects successfully.
• Evaluate progress to detect limitations or faults and seek solutions for more efficient processes.
• Develop internal and external communication strategies to ensure effective communication between departments and clients.
• Use specialized tools and techniques to delegate tasks and ensure even distribution among team members.
• Participate in educational programs to update job knowledge and expand personal networks.
• Motivate team members to meet project goals by effectively carrying out their responsibilities.
• Offer effective solutions to meet set targets and satisfy client requirements.
• Manage every aspect of projects, including planning, communication, risk assessment, and resources.
• Create a collaborative, enjoyable work environment that is conducive to effective creative thinking.

Travel Requirements:

• Ability to travel up to 75% of the time.
• Must possess a REAL ‑compliant driver’s license or passport for federal travel compliance.
• Familiarity with TSA security procedures.
• Domestic travel by road, rail, and air as required for the role and company expense policies.

What you need to succeed at GXO:

At a minimum, you’ll need:

• Bachelor’s degree in an analytical field or equivalent work or military experience.
• 1 year of experience in operations, preferably in manufacturing or logistics.
• Lean or Six Sigma experience.
• Project management experience.
• Experience with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).

It’d be great if you also have:

• Certifications such as PMP, Agile, or Six Sigma.
• Experience in transportation, supply chain, logistics, distribution, or manufacturing environments.
• Strong understanding of professional services economics.
• Experience with change management processes.
• Availability to work a variety of shifts, including days, evenings, and weekends.
• Experience in staff management and development, including solid track record of mentoring Project Managers.
• Ability to conform to shifting priorities, demands, and timelines through analytical and problem‑solving capabilities.
