Contract QC Technician – Aurorium

- Conduct analytical testing of chemical products, intermediates and raw materials according to specifications and Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
- Perform routine and non-routine testing, both wet chemistry and instrumental analysis, according to SOPs, testing methods, protocols, and compendia (USP/EP/JP) with minimum supervision.
- Maintain good relations with all production personnel and other departments to solicit information and assistance when necessary.
- Conduct testing on finished products to support customer technical issues and/or investigate product complaints.
- Collect data from various tools and systems, analyze it using quantitative methods and techniques.
- Maintain and clean laboratory instruments and equipment.
- Perform other duties as assigned by the Quality Manager or Quality Control Supervisor.
- Comply with company Quality, Health, Safety and Environmental policies, procedures, and arrangements.
- Report all Quality, Health, Safety and Environmental accidents, incidents, and near misses promptly.
- Act in a safe and responsible manner at all times.
- Active participation in continuous improvement activities.
- Participate in problem-solving initiatives.
- Takes responsibility and ownership for own learning and development in the spirit of continuous improvement.
- Assist in the training, mentoring, and assessment of other team members.
- Exercise autonomy and judgment subject to overall direction or guidance.
- Bachelor’s degree in Chemistry or Biology.
- 3+ years of related industrial or laboratory experience.
- Experience in validation and development of analytical methods.
- Preferred experience in an aseptic manufacturing environment.
- Knowledge in wet chemistry techniques, titrations, UV, ICP.
- Ability to work in a team environment within a multi-functional organizational structure and exhibit robust interpersonal skills.
- Ability to sit, stand, and move around the facility.
- Ability to lift up to 25 lbs.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail with the ability to adapt quickly to changing business needs and priorities.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to follow written instructions and possess basic math skills.
- Critical thinking skills and analytical abilities.
