Position: Contract QC Technician

Contract QC Technician – Aurorium

Responsibilities
  • Conduct analytical testing of chemical products, intermediates and raw materials according to specifications and Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
  • Perform routine and non-routine testing, both wet chemistry and instrumental analysis, according to SOPs, testing methods, protocols, and compendia (USP/EP/JP) with minimum supervision.
  • Maintain good relations with all production personnel and other departments to solicit information and assistance when necessary.
  • Conduct testing on finished products to support customer technical issues and/or investigate product complaints.
  • Collect data from various tools and systems, analyze it using quantitative methods and techniques.
  • Maintain and clean laboratory instruments and equipment.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by the Quality Manager or Quality Control Supervisor.

  • Comply with company Quality, Health, Safety and Environmental policies, procedures, and arrangements.
  • Report all Quality, Health, Safety and Environmental accidents, incidents, and near misses promptly.
  • Act in a safe and responsible manner at all times.

  • Active participation in continuous improvement activities.
  • Participate in problem-solving initiatives.
  • Takes responsibility and ownership for own learning and development in the spirit of continuous improvement.
  • Assist in the training, mentoring, and assessment of other team members.
  • Exercise autonomy and judgment subject to overall direction or guidance.
Education & Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in Chemistry or Biology.
Experience
  • 3+ years of related industrial or laboratory experience.
  • Experience in validation and development of analytical methods.
  • Preferred experience in an aseptic manufacturing environment.
Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities
  • Knowledge in wet chemistry techniques, titrations, UV, ICP.
  • Ability to work in a team environment within a multi-functional organizational structure and exhibit robust interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to sit, stand, and move around the facility.
  • Ability to lift up to 25 lbs.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail with the ability to adapt quickly to changing business needs and priorities.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to follow written instructions and possess basic math skills.
  • Critical thinking skills and analytical abilities.
