Description:

Join CGI as a Project Planner - MS Project and play a pivotal role in shaping the successful delivery of a high-profile programme in Aberdeen. You’ll take ownership of developing a robust, credible programme schedule that gives senior stakeholders the insight and confidence to make critical delivery decisions. Using your expertise in Microsoft Project, you’ll challenge assumptions, validate the critical path and explore schedule and resource scenarios to strengthen programme commitments.

This is an opportunity to bring fresh thinking to complex planning challenges while working closely with the Programme Manager, workstream leads and a supportive community of CGI professionals, where your expertise will directly influence programme outcomes and help establish a strong foundation for successful delivery.

CGI was recognised in the Sunday Times Best Places to Work List 2025 and has been named a UK ‘Best Employer’ by the Financial Times. We offer a competitive salary, excellent pension, private healthcare, plus a share scheme (3.5% + 3.5% matching) which makes you a CGI Partner not just an employee. We are committed to inclusivity, building a genuinely diverse community of tech talent and inspiring everyone to pursue careers in our sector, including our Armed Forces, and are proud to hold a Gold Award in recognition of our support of the Armed Forces Corporate Covenant.

Join us and you’ll be part of an open, friendly community of experts. We’ll train and support you in taking your career wherever you want it to go.

This role is hybrid but will require 2/3 days a week on site in Aberdeen so you must be prepared to travel and stay overnight if you do not live a commutable distance from Aberdeen. The travel and accommodation will be expensed for those not based in Aberdeen.

Working closely with the Programme Manager, project managers, workstream leads and wider stakeholders, you’ll bring structure and insight to significant volumes of planning information. You’ll be encouraged to challenge assumptions, explore alternative scenarios and recommend practical solutions, with support from colleagues across the programme to turn complex schedule data into clear, actionable delivery insight.
