M&E Quantity Surveyor

M&E Quantity Surveyor – Edinburgh Up to 75,000 DOE + Benefits Permanent | Full-Time We are working with a well-established and highly respected Building Services Contractor who are looking to appoint an M&E Quantity Surveyor to their team in Edinburgh. successful candidate will play a key role in the commercial management of Major Industrial Units (Big Sheds), Substations, Petrochemical Facilities, and CAT A Fit-Outs, working closely with internal delivery teams and external stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities Manage commercial and contractual aspects of M&E packages across multiple projects

Prepare and review bills of quantities, valuations, variations, and final accounts

Work closely with project managers to ensure accurate forecasting, cost reporting, and commercial risk management

Liaise with clients, subcontractors, suppliers, and consultant teams throughout project lifecycle

Ensure cost controls are implemented effectively and commercial processes are followed

Support tendering, procurement, and bid pricing activity when required

About You Experience working as an M&E QS, ideally within a building services, construction, or specialist subcontractor setting

Strong understanding of mechanical and electrical contracting commercial processes

Confident communicator who is comfortable working with clients, site teams, and stakeholders

Good working knowledge of standard forms of contract (e.g., NEC, JCT)
Strong analytical skills and an organised, methodical approach to financial controls and reporting
