The Clancy Group Ltd, a prominent company in the construction and T&D sector, is currently seeking a Site Banksman to join their team on a contract basis. This pivotal role involves ensuring the safe and efficient movement of vehicles and machinery on-site, particularly with a focus on utilities and substation projects.

Key Responsibilities:

Coordinating and guiding the movement of vehicles and machinery around the construction site Ensuring safety procedures are followed during all lifting operations

Communicating clearly with crane operators and other site personnel to ensure safe and precise operations

Monitoring site activities to identify and mitigate potential hazards

Maintaining clear and effective communication with all site workers

Adhering to all health and safety regulations and site-specific rules

Assisting with general site activities and supporting the site management team as required

Conducting routine checks of equipment to ensure it is safe and fit for purpose

Job Requirements:

Experience in the construction sector, ideally with experience in utilities or substation projects

Relevant certifications including CSCS, Slinger/Signaller (Banksman), and IPAFProficiency in coordinating heavy machinery and vehicle movements on construction sites

Strong awareness of health and safety protocols

Excellent communication skills and the ability to work effectively as part of a team Attention to detail and the ability to identify and resolve potential safety issues

Capability to operate under pressure and adhere to strict safety standards

Flexibility to work in different site conditions and adjust to varying project requirements
