Up to 60k OverviewA leading multidisciplinary consultancy is seeking a Senior Mechanical Engineer to join its Edinburgh office. The role offers the opportunity to lead mechanical building services design on a variety of projects, ranging from commercial offices and education buildings to cultural and public-sector developments.

The successful candidate will bring technical expertise, a collaborative mindset, and the ability to mentor junior engineers, while delivering innovative and sustainable mechanical solutions.

Key Responsibilities Lead mechanical engineering design across multiple projects from concept through to completion.

Coordinate closely with architects, electrical engineers, and other disciplines to ensure integrated design solutions.

Produce design calculations, specifications, and detailed drawings.

Ensure designs meet quality, budget, and programme requirements.

Mentor and support junior engineers, fostering a collaborative team environment.

Apply sustainable design principles and contribute to innovative engineering solutions.

About You Degree-qualified in Mechanical or Building Services Engineering (or related discipline).Significant experience in mechanical building services design, ideally in a consultancy environment.

Strong understanding of sustainable design, HVAC systems, and building services integration.

Excellent communication, project management, and coordination skills.

Proactive, self-motivated, and collaborative, with the ability to deliver high-quality solutions.
