About the Department The Quality Engineering team plays a vital role in ensuring quality is embedded throughout the software development lifecycle. Working within cross-functional product squads, the team partners with engineers, product managers and designers to establish robust testing practices, improve software reliability and support continuous delivery.

About the Role Based in Edinburgh, this permanent role offers the opportunity to shape quality practices across multiple agile squads. Reporting to the Quality Engineering Chapter Lead, you will define testing strategy, guide quality standards and support engineering teams in adopting effective automated and exploratory testing approaches.

You will balance hands-on quality engineering with coaching and enablement, helping teams improve coverage, reliability and customer outcomes. Key Responsibilities Define test strategies and coverage across unit, component, API, integration and end-to-end testing layers. Collaborate with engineers, designers and product managers to build quality into products from the earliest stages of development. Design and contribute to automated and exploratory testing for web and mobile applications across iOS and Android platforms. Mentor engineering teams on testing best practice, CI/CD integration, automation and shift-left quality approaches.

Drive improvements in quality frameworks, tooling, performance, accessibility, security and service resilience testing. Leverage AI-driven testing techniques to improve test coverage, execution efficiency and defect detection. About the Candidate Essential criteria:
