WhatYou’ll Do
- Provide compassionate patient care before, during, and after surgery.
- Assist the doctor with evaluations, procedures, and post‑operative visits.
- Support patients with pre‑ and post‑op skin care.
- Verify medication is drawn for daily procedures.
- Prepare and recover surgical patients; monitor and communicate progress.
- Serve as the main contact for patients and caregivers.
- Set up and stock surgical rooms; clean and sterilize instruments.
- Complete patient charts, surgical checklists, and biopsy results. Review and communicate results to doctor.
- Prepare instruments, supplies, and medications for daily procedures.
- Perform Omnilux and Ultrasound treatments on existing patients.
- Maintain clinical, pharmaceutical, and pro‑bono logs.
- Order supplies and assist with training new team members.
- Confirm IV sedation cases and operate clinical camera equipment.
- Comply with OSHA, AAAHC, and practice policies. Assist with Quality Improvement studies if directed.
- Support Front Desk and other team functions as needed.
- Complete day‑to‑day functions in a proficient manner consistent with practice policies, procedures and mission statement.
- Other duties as assigned by Office Manager.
- A minimum of two years’ experience in cosmetic or surgical assisting; LPN or CST preferred.
- Demonstrated understanding of sterilization principles, required.
- Understanding of HIPAA, required.
- BLS certification, preferred.
- Exceptional customer service skills.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Requires constant and frequent judgment and response. Requires language skills for communication in American English.
- Requires high‑level visual and auditory acuity for timely response and patient care activities.
- Requires the ability to move quickly in response to physician and patient needs, the ability to sit or stand for long periods, occasional overhead, and low reaching, bending, and the ability to exert force of up to 50 lbs. occasionally, up to 20 lbs. frequently and/or up to 10 lbs. constantly. Patient care activities may require the ability to exert force of up to 70 lbs.
