NOW HIRING A DESKTOP/PC TECHNICIAN!
Networking, Technologies & Support (NTS) is seeking a Desktop/PC Tech. with 1-3 years of experience to provide day‑to‑day technical support for our client, a large medical university. This role will support PCs and peripherals, which include planning, developing, installing, configuring, maintaining, supporting, and optimizing hardware, software, and communication platforms.
Responsibilities- Respond to requests for technical assistance via phone or electronically (tickets).
- Educate end‑users on how to resolve various hardware and software problems.
- Diagnose and resolve technical hardware and software issues.
- Track and route problems and requests and document resolutions.
- Stay current with system information, changes, and updates.
- Set up new user hardware/software.
- Maintain hardware and software inventory.
- Clone computers using imaging software; maintain clone images.
- Provide technical assistance for all printers and scanners.
- Provide technical assistance to users for network, VPN, web‑based portal and wireless issues.
- Escalate incidents to IT Network Administrators, Business Analysts or Developers when appropriate.
- CompTIA A+ (preferred)
- 1‑3 years’ experience supporting Windows 7/Windows 10/365 desktop/laptop PCs.
- Experience troubleshooting hardware issues and replacing hardware on both desktop and laptop PCs.
- Experience installing software, patches, updates on Desktops, Laptops, Servers.
- Experience troubleshooting basic network, software, printing problems.
- Customer Service Experience a must!
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $17.00 – $19.00 per hour
Benefits:
Start on Day 91 of employment
Schedule:
M‑F 7 am‑4 pm or 8 am‑5 pm
