Job SummaryThe ICU Registered Nurse (RN) delivers exceptional nursing care to critically ill patients through:
- Utilizing strong organizational and leadership skills to assess patient status
- Determining the priority of patient problems and needs
- Implementing clinical interventions for acute, critical patients requiring intensive care
- Developing and performing patient care plans to enhance and improve outcomes
Ensuring a safe and therapeutic environment
- Collaborate with the interdisciplinary care team
- Conduct and analyze initial and ongoing patient assessments, create a plan of care, implement treatment, and evaluate effectiveness
- Synthesize and prioritize information to take immediate, evidence‑based, patient‑focused action using clinical judgment and inquiry
- Anticipate and respond with confidence, adapting to rapidly changing patient conditions
- Administer medications safely in accordance with state of practice and organizational policies
- Perform other duties as assigned
• Bachelor of Science in Nursing (preferred, not required)
Certifications- Current state RN license
- BLS Basic Life Support or ACLS Advanced Cardiac Life Support (preferred at hire; ACLS required within 6 months of hire)
- PALS Pediatric Advanced Life Support (preferred at hire; required in lieu of BLS/ACLS for Pediatric Units)
- 1 year RN experience (required)
- 6 months RN experience in Med/Surg, Critical Care, Stepdown, or Emergency Department (preferred)
