A well-established partner hospital in the Midlothian/Richmond, VA area is hiring a full-time Urgent Care Veterinarian (DVM) to join their expanding team. This is the perfect opportunity for veterinarians who love urgent care cases but want to avoid the burnout of traditional ER hours or general wellness overload. With flexible scheduling, no abdominal surgeries, and an amazing support team, this role offers the ideal mix of challenge and work-life balance.

Urgent Care Only – no routine wellness appointments
No abdominal surgeries
Fear Free & Feline Friendly certified practice
Flexible scheduling, including swing and second shift options
New, state-of-the-art hospital with advanced equipment
Collaborative and technician-driven workflow
Diagnose and treat urgent but non-life-threatening conditions
Perform diagnostics, prescribe medications, and stabilize patients
Communicate clearly with pet parents about treatment plans and follow-up care
Maintain accurate digital records using a cloud-based EMR
Collaborate with the clinical team and contribute to staff growth through the Level Up training program
DVM/VMD degree (or completion of ECFVG/PAVE)
Licensed or eligible to practice veterinary medicine in Virginia
1–3 years of urgent care or emergency experience preferred (new grads welcome!)
Proficient in small animal medicine
Compassionate, collaborative, and client-focused approach
Passionate about fast-paced urgent care work
