Objective:
To motivate, encourage, and plan exercise routines to assist clients in achieving their fitness goals. To maximize revenues of personal training by maintaining a consistent full-time client base.

Reports to:

Fitness Director

Game Plan

Arrive 5 minutes early dressed in appropriate uniform and prepared for the client.

Choose goal-specific exercises for each client.

Set up clients with safe and effective exercise programs.

Motivate each client to achieve their goals by giving them undivided attention and modifying their exercise programs as needed.

Instruct clients on proper technique on all equipment.

Promote personal training within the club through new member orientations and consultations following club guidelines.

Conduct and schedule personal training appointments, fitness assessments, and consultations according to club guidelines.

Start and end appointments on time.

Keep a written or digital record of clients' workouts for safety and liability.

Maintain company personal training tier expectations.

Keep company-accepted PT certification current and obtain appropriate continuing education credits per certification guidelines.

Provide clients with updated fitness techniques and knowledge by attending seminars, acquiring national certifications, and reading trade manuals.

Observe the fitness area to ensure member safety and enforce all rules and regulations.

Attend mandatory department meetings.

Promote all club events and activities to members.

Periodically assess current clients to ensure satisfaction with their training program.

Maintain and clean the fitness equipment and fitness area.
