Internal Auditor: Analytics

Introduction

To provide Internal Audit service to the business, providing assurance to the Board and Audit & Risk Committee as to the adequacy and effectiveness of risk, control and governances processes.

• Execute data analytics within integrated audits and stand-alone analytics projects.
• Design, develop, and support models that enhance audit processes, risk assessment, and execution.
• Develop dashboards, data models, and insights to identify trends and efficiency opportunities.
• Design and build continuous auditing models to support audit activities.
• Ultimately be a source for analytics and/or continuous auditing.
• Execute internal audit activities in line with the internal audit charter as approved by the Audit & Risk Committee.
• Execute audit engagement planning, fieldwork and reporting in line with the established audit methodology.
• Conduct root cause analysis and develop practical and cost-effective recommendations on assurance and consulting engagements as appropriate.
• Provide support to the organisation's ethics and anti-fraud programs.
• Maintain industry specific business, regulatory and legal knowledge.
• Stay current with emerging analytics tools and business intelligence technologies to drive innovation.
• Contribute to the development of internal skills through knowledge and information sharing with the team.

• Degree or equivalent qualification majoring in Internal Audit or Risk Management or Accounting or Computer Science.
• Professional certification:
  Certified Internal Auditor (CIA) or Certified Information Systems Auditor (CISA) would be advantageous.
• At least 3 - 5 Years Internal Audit experience.
• Experience with data analytics and scripting tools such as ACL, Arbutus, IDEA, or similar technologies.
• Experience in developing dashboards, reports, and business intelligence solutions.
• Exposure to FMCG or Manufacturing or Franchising Industry would be advantageous.
• Completed articles with a reputable audit firm will be an added advantage
