Senior Site Engineer - High-Rise Construction

Our client, a leading name in the construction industry, is seeking a highly experienced and dedicated Senior Site Engineer to join their dynamic team in Midrand, Gauteng. This is a critical role for an upcoming major high-rise development project. • Supervise and direct daily construction activities, ensuring adherence to project plans, specifications, and building codes.
• Manage and coordinate all site personnel, including subcontractors, ensuring efficient workflow and productivity.
• Implement and enforce stringent health and safety protocols on site, conducting regular safety inspections and risk assessments.
• Monitor project progress, identify potential delays or issues, and implement corrective actions promptly.
• Ensure the quality of workmanship and materials used throughout the construction process.
• Interpret blueprints, drawings, and specifications accurately.
• Prepare and submit regular progress reports to project management.
• Manage site resources, including equipment and materials, to optimize cost-effectiveness.
• Liaise with clients, consultants, and other stakeholders to ensure clear communication and project alignment.

• A Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or a related field.
• Minimum of 8 years of progressive experience in site engineering and construction management, with a significant focus on high-rise buildings.
• Proven experience in managing large-scale construction projects.
• In-depth knowledge of construction methodologies, materials, and quality control procedures.
• Strong understanding of health and safety regulations in the construction sector.
• Proficiency in project management software (e.g., MS Project, Primavera P6).
• Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to read and interpret complex engineering drawings and specifications.
• Valid driver's license and willingness to travel to and from the Midrand site as required.
