Senior Architectural Designer

About the Role

Our client is seeking a highly creative and technically proficient Senior Architectural Designer to join their dynamic team in Midrand . This role is pivotal in leading the design process from conceptualization through to detailed construction documentation for a variety of exciting projects. You will be instrumental in shaping the aesthetic and functional aspects of our buildings, ensuring they meet client needs and regulatory standards.

The ideal candidate will possess a strong portfolio showcasing innovative design solutions and a proven ability to manage projects effectively, working within a collaborative environment that fosters professional growth and architectural excellence.

• Lead the design development and documentation for architectural projects, ensuring adherence to project briefs and client expectations .
• Produce high-quality 3D models, renderings, and technical drawings using industry-standard software.
• Collaborate closely with project managers, engineers, and contractors to resolve design challenges and ensure constructability.
• Conduct site visits and assess existing conditions to inform design decisions and ensure compliance with local building codes .
• Mentor junior designers and interns, fostering a culture of learning and skill development within the design team.

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Architecture or a related field.
• Minimum of 7 years of professional experience in architectural design, with a focus on project leadership.
• Proficiency in CAD software (e.g., AutoCAD, Revit) and 3D modeling/rendering tools (e.g., Sketch Up, 3ds Max, V-Ray).
• Strong understanding of South African building regulations and construction methodologies.
• Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills, with a keen eye for detail.
