Job Description

JOB PURPOSE

To provide administrative and coordination support in the preparation, assembly, and submission of bid and tender documents. The Bid Administrator ensures that all submissions are completed accurately, formatted correctly, and delivered on time in accordance with client requirements.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Grade 12.
  • N Diploma:
    Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, or Office Management
  • Btech:
    Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, or Office Management (Advantage)
  • N Diploma or Btech in Electrical Engineering (Advantage)

REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE

  • Excellent writing and proof-reading skills with an eye for detail
  • Relevant software application (MS Office Suite)
  • Legible/Neat Handwriting
  • Understanding of the end-to-end bid process,
  • Strong document control and versioning knowledge

Requirements

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE

  • 3-5 Years Administration of New Bid/Tenders (Start to Finish)
  • Analysing the Tender Evaluation Criteria and Compliance.
  • Experience with in the electrical, engineering, construction industry.

Requirements
EXPERIENCE 3-5 years’

Experience of formal estimating and pricing bids and proposal experience in an electrical engineering environment, industrial electrical projects and tenders, including experience with Motor Control Centers (MCC) and Programmable Logic Controller (PLC) projects. 3.5 years’ Experience in reading and analysing requests for proposal (RFPs) and requests for quotation (RFQs).

Experience with reading and analyzing technical requirements and drawings, with knowledge of Variable Speed Drives and SCADA systems. Experience in the water and wastewater treatment industry (Advantage) REQUIRED COMPETENCIES Attention to Detail - Job requires being careful about detail and thorough in completing work tasks Excellent client-facing and internal communication skills Excellent written and verbal communication skills using English language sufficient to perform job functions Able to work in a fast-paced environment Flexibility to work overtime/weekends, as required Demonstrated ability to cope with stress and maintain a pleasant and cooperative temperament with internal and external customers Strong technical mindset and able to read and interpret technical data and translate to others Highly numerate with the ability to research, assemble manage and manipulate numerical information Knowledge of estimating techniques Results & deadline orientated and organized with the ability to deliver Integrity - Job requires being honest and ethical
