Senior Solar Panel Technician

Our client is seeking a highly experienced Senior Solar Panel Technician to join their dynamic team in Midrand . This critical role involves the installation, maintenance, and troubleshooting of solar photovoltaic systems for commercial and residential clients. You will be responsible for ensuring the highest standards of safety, quality, and efficiency in all aspects of solar installations. The ideal candidate will possess a deep understanding of electrical systems, solar technology, and best practices in the renewable energy sector, contributing significantly to our client's mission of promoting sustainable energy solutions within the Gauteng region.

• Lead and oversee the installation of solar photovoltaic systems, ensuring compliance with all safety regulations and electrical codes.
• Perform routine maintenance, inspections, and diagnostic tests on existing solar installations to identify and resolve issues.
• Troubleshoot and repair electrical faults, inverter problems, and panel malfunctions efficiently.
• Conduct site assessments to determine optimal system design and component selection.
• Train and mentor junior technicians, fostering a culture of safety and continuous improvement.

• Proven experience as a Solar Panel Technician or similar role, with a strong portfolio of completed projects.
• In-depth knowledge of solar panel technology , inverters, mounting systems, and battery storage solutions.
• Proficiency in electrical wiring, conduit bending, and the use of diagnostic tools.
• Valid driver's license and willingness to travel to various project sites within Midrand and surrounding areas.
• Relevant certifications in solar installation or electrical trades are highly advantageous.
