Design Civil Technologist - Roads and Infrastructure

Key Responsibilities- Design of civil infrastructure using Civil3D (roads, pipe networks, bulk earthworks).
- Project management and interfacing with other engineering disciplines on multi‑disciplinary projects.
- Provide technical input from initial assessment through feasibility to design development and construction implementation to project close out.
- Carry out investigations, surveys, design, engineering calculations and preparation of working drawings and estimates.
- Review overall project design and suggest technical and design improvements.
- Assist with the preparation of cost estimates on project designs.
- Detail oriented with strong skills in municipal infrastructure and roads.
- Ability to work in a team environment; excellent verbal and written skills.
- Minimum of BEng or BSc (Civil Engineering) or BTech (Civil Engineering).
- 2-5 years’ experience in civil engineering.
- Registered with ECSA as Candidate Engineer.
- Knowledge of relevant standards, regulations and legislation in engineering.
- Strong technical engineering ability.
- Excellent communication skills.
- Team player.
- Strong analytical ability.
- Takes ownership and accountability; delivers requested work within deadlines.
- Strong commercial and contractual awareness and expertise.
- Strong financial management of projects.
- Strong project management principles & execution.
- Good engineering judgement; exhibits leadership.
- Prioritise, work on several tasks, work under pressure.
- Upholding standards for SHEQ performance and behaviour consistent with company vision and policies.
- Contributing to identification of SHEQ risks and driving processes to achieve Zero Harm.
