Job Description Job Purpose

Calculate and estimate cost for Electrical & Engineering tender projects. Bidding on or determining the price of electrical/industrial tenders/projects. This role is crucial in determining project feasibility, preparing competitive bids, and ensuring profitability.

Qualifications
  • Matric (Grade 12)
  • ND in Electrical Engineering
Professional Membership Preferred
  • Project Management Accreditation
  • ECSA Membership
  • Member of a Proposals Professional Body
Requirements Experience
  • 3-5 years of formal estimating experience on industrial electrical projects.
  • 3-5 years’ Experience in reading and analysing requests for proposal (RFPs) and requests for quotation (RFQs).
  • Experience in reading and analysing technical requirements and drawings.
Required Knowledge
  • General tender/contractual processes, requirements, and terminology
  • Cost and work package estimation techniques
  • Intermediate working knowledge of Microsoft Excel and manipulating calculations
  • Basic understanding of financial concepts
  • Basic understanding of electrical and automation engineering concepts, components, systems, methodologies and processes.
