Job Description
We are looking for a Structural BIM Modeler to join WSP and play a key role in delivering high-quality digital design solutions on complex infrastructure and built environment projects. This opportunity is ideal for a technically strong and detail-oriented professional who is passionate about building information modelling, multidisciplinary collaboration, and using advanced design technologies to support project excellence across diverse teams and locations.

WSP operates in a discipline model where project teams are located in dispersed locations and collaborate virtually to deliver major project designs.
The Structural BIM Modeler performs a variety of design activities including BIM modelling, design, preparing drawings for projects, clash detection, establishing guidelines and procedures and managing workload distribution within the BIM team.
Must be familiar with the collaborative Autodesk Suite and Bentley Suite of design software tools. Proven competence in modelling Bridge and Civil Structures and be able to develop and interpret detail design work.
Will also be involved in automated design using Dynamo and the like, Navisworks Clash detection and coordination of major infrastructure projects.
Key Responsibilities- Lead the modelling team to ensure that project deliverables are met in accordance with specifications and quality standards
- Develop and interpret Bridge and Civil Structural modelling and designs including:
- Bridge and Culverts, clash detection and modelling for highways structures.
- Reinforcement detailing of structural elements in CADS RC
- Civil structures modeling in Revit or AECOSIM
- Role model standards for SHEQ performance and behaviour consistent with the company’s health, safety, environmental and quality vision and policies by influencing those around you
- Contributing to the identification of SHEQ risks and driving processes to achieve Zero Harm
- Embracing, displaying and promoting the company values and ensuring a safe working environment is maintained at all times
- Self-training ability, with an affinity to learn new design technologies
- Taking ownership and being proactive in the working environment
- Possess initiative and good interpersonal skills
- Must be a collaborative team player
- Resilient under pressure to work independently from dispersed location whilst operating as a team

- Accuracy – Attention to detail and correctness of drawings
- Committed to delivering excellent levels of service
- Minimum 10 years’ relevant experience in modelling of civil structures
- Highly competent with structural engineering modeling using either Auto Desk Suite and Bentley related Bentley software
- Minimum 3 years’ managing a project team
- Able to model using the following collaborative software tools;
Bentley Suite
- Microstation, AECOSIM, Project Wise or Auto Desk Suite
- Civil 3D, Navisworks, BIM 360, Revit as well as reinforcement packages such as CADS RC
