We are seeking an experienced and strategically minded Systems Engineer to join our dynamic team and play a pivotal role in delivering mission-critical defence solutions across land and naval domains.
About the Role As a Systems Engineer, you will independently lead systems engineering activities across the full product life cycle — from concept generation through to qualification, integration, and sustainment. You will be the technical backbone of assigned projects, translating complex customer and business requirements into robust engineering solutions while ensuring compliance with defence standards, managing system-level risks, and driving technical excellence.
This is a hands-on, high-impact role where you will work across multiple cutting-edge projects simultaneously, collaborating with engineering and business development teams to deliver reliable, world-class defence systems.
- Lead systems engineering activities across the full product life cycle, ensuring rigorous design, integration, verification, and qualification of complex defence systems
- Translate client requirements into detailed technical specifications and comprehensive system documentation
- Review and interpret proposals to ensure the technical team fully understands and can meet all contractual obligations
- Lead formal technical reviews and ensure adherence to established systems engineering processes
- Act as the primary technical interface to customers for assigned projects
- Liaise between engineering and business development teams to facilitate effective communication and timely project delivery
- Assist in managing and prioritising the engineering and business development backlog to streamline workflows and improve responsiveness
- Coordinate and participate insystem integration and test activities to achieve system qualification
- Support the preparation of accurate technical documentation for proposals, ensuring precise representation of product capabilities and specifications
- Perform hands-on, low-level design work within your area of expertise
- Contribute across the complete product life cycle — from concept generation, prototyping, and design for manufacturing through industrialisation, testing, optimisation, safety certification, qualification, and integration
- Conduct regular compliance reviews aligned with defence industry standards and best practices
- B.Eng. preferably in Computer, Electronic, or Mechanical Engineering
- More than 5 years' experience in systems engineering, preferably in the defence and military environment.
- More than 5 years' experience in military system development and/or environment.
- Strong technical understanding of defence products, particularly weapons or weapon systems, is advantageous.
- In-depth understanding of the defence sector, particularly in the design and implementation of complex systems
- Strong familiarity withdefence industry standards and regulatory requirements
- Solid grasp of engineering principles as applied to the development, integration, and support of military-grade systems
- Extensive knowledge and hands-on experience insystems engineering processes
- Working knowledge of software development processesandproject management methodologies
- Experience in interpreting technical specifications within the defence industry
- Knowledge of compliance and quality standards
- Proven hands-on design capability across the complete product life cycle
