Our client, a prominent player in the aviation sector based near Midrand , is seeking an experienced and highly skilled Senior Aircraft Maintenance Engineer . This critical role involves overseeing and performing complex maintenance tasks on a diverse fleet of aircraft, ensuring the highest standards of safety and airworthiness. You will be instrumental in maintaining operational integrity, leading a team of technicians, and contributing to the continuous improvement of maintenance procedures.

• Perform scheduled and unscheduled maintenance, inspections, and repairs on aircraft systems and components according to manufacturer and regulatory specifications.
• Diagnose and troubleshoot complex technical issues, implementing effective solutions to ensure aircraft readiness.
• Supervise and mentor junior engineers and technicians, fostering a culture of safety, quality, and continuous learning.
• Maintain accurate and comprehensive records of all maintenance activities, including component changes, service bulletins, and flight hour logs.
• Collaborate with flight operations and other departments to minimize aircraft downtime and ensure efficient turnaround times.
• Ensure compliance with all aviation regulations, company policies, and safety management system requirements.

• Bachelor's degree in Aerospace Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
• Minimum of 7 years of experience in aircraft maintenance, with a significant portion in a senior or lead role.
• Possession of a valid Aircraft Maintenance Engineer (AME) license with relevant ratings for the fleet.
• In-depth knowledge of aircraft systems, structures, and troubleshooting techniques.
• Proven leadership abilities and experience in managing maintenance teams and projects.
