About the Role
Our client is seeking an experienced Senior Renewable Energy Engineer to join their dynamic team based in Midrand . This role is critical in driving the development and implementation of innovative renewable energy projects, contributing to South Africa's sustainable energy future. You will be instrumental in designing, analyzing, and managing complex energy systems, collaborating with a multidisciplinary team of experts. Key Responsibilities- Lead the design and development of renewable energy systems , including solar, wind, and hybrid solutions.
- Conduct feasibility studies, site assessments, and technical evaluations for new projects.
- Manage project life cycles from conceptualization to completion, ensuring adherence to budget, schedule, and quality standards.
- Develop and optimize energy models, perform performance analysis , and generate detailed reports.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including project managers, engineers, and external stakeholders, to ensure successful project delivery.
- Stay abreast of emerging technologies and industry trends in the renewable energy field.
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field;
Master's degree preferred. - Minimum of 7 years of experience in the renewable energy sector, with a proven track record in project leadership.
- In-depth knowledge of solar PV , wind turbine technologies, and energy storage systems.
- Proficiency in relevant simulation and design software (e.g., PVSyst, AutoCAD, HOMER).
- Strong understanding of South African energy regulations and grid integration standards.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and project management skills .
