Senior Electrical Engineer

We're partnering with a leading engineering and infrastructure organisation to appoint an experienced Senior Electrical Engineer (High Voltage) to join their team in Gauteng
. This is an excellent opportunity for a technically strong professional to lead the delivery of complex HV projects from concept design through to commissioning.

• Lead the design and execution of high-voltage electrical engineering projects.
• Develop, review and approve HV drawings, calculations, specifications and technical documentation.
• Ensure compliance with relevant industry standards, regulations and utility requirements.
• Provide technical leadership and mentorship to junior engineers and technical staff.
• Engage with clients, contractors, utilities, consultants and multidisciplinary project teams.
• Support feasibility studies, tenders, technical assessments and cost estimates.
• Provide site support during construction, testing, commissioning and project handover.
• Identify project risks and implement safe, practical and cost-effective engineering solutions.

• BEng, BSc or BTech in Electrical Engineering
• 7-10+ years' experience in electrical engineering with a strong HV focus
• Experience in HV substations, transmission & distribution networks, reticulation systems and protection schemes
• Proven project exposure across design, construction and commissioning phases
• Professional Registration (Pr. Eng) advantageous
• Experience in energy, infrastructure, mining, industrial or renewable energy projects highly desirable

• Strong technical expertise in HV systems, protection and earthing
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
• Ability to manage multiple projects and stakeholders
• Strong communication and technical reporting capabilities
• A proactive approach to safety, quality and project delivery
