Senior Structural Engineer; Civil

Our client, a leading force in the construction industry, is seeking an experienced and highly motivated Senior Structural Engineer to join their dynamic team in Midrand, Gauteng . • Conduct comprehensive structural analysis and design for various construction projects, including commercial, industrial, and residential buildings.
• Develop and review detailed structural drawings, specifications, and reports using relevant software.
• Lead and mentor junior engineering staff, fostering a culture of technical excellence and professional development.
• Collaborate effectively with architects, project managers, contractors, and other stakeholders to ensure project success.
• Perform site inspections and construction support to ensure designs are implemented correctly and address any structural issues that may arise.
• Manage project timelines and budgets, ensuring all structural engineering aspects are delivered on schedule and within scope.
• Stay abreast of the latest advancements in structural engineering technology, materials, and best practices.
• Ensure compliance with all relevant South African building codes, standards, and regulations.

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or a related field;
  Master's degree is a plus.
• Professional Engineer (Pr Eng) registration with ECSA is mandatory.
• Minimum of 8 years of progressive experience in structural engineering, with a proven track record of managing complex projects.
• Proficiency in structural analysis software such as ETABS, SAP
  2000, or STAAD.Pro.
• In-depth knowledge of steel, concrete, and masonry design principles and materials.
• Excellent understanding of construction methods and site supervision practices.
• Strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team.
• Proficiency in relevant CAD software (e.g., AutoCAD, Revit).
• A valid driver's license and willingness to travel to project sites as needed.
