Description/Synopsis
Description/Synopsis: As a key member of the management team, the Financial Manager will play a vital role in ensuring financial compliance, tax efficiency, and financial planning across the business for multiple countries. This role requires involvement at operational level—a hands-on, detail-oriented professional with deep knowledge and expertise in international tax systems will be best suited.
Minimum Requirements- BCom Accounting or relevant financial qualification
- Completed SAIPA/SAICA Articles advantageous
- Minimum 3 - 5 years of experience in senior accounting/financial management roles
- Background in mining, geophysical, or civil engineering sectors is advantageous
- Hands-on experience with multiple global tax systems and thorough knowledge of Double Taxation Agreements, Deferred Tax, and Withholding Taxes
- Strong technical abilities in international tax systems, consolidations, and reporting
- Experience in working across multiple countries with cross-border financial regulations
- Hands-on experience with Xero and ERP systems
- Strong knowledge of IFRS and GAAP
- Oversee financial management, ensuring compliance with IFRS, GAAP, and local and international tax regulations
- Manage working capital: cash flow, foreign currency, and supplier payments
- Lead the finance team, ensuring efficient and accurate financial operations
- Ensure compliance with statutory requirements and tax submissions
- Manage foreign currency and exposure to prevent losses
- Pay suppliers, staff, and taxes on time
- Provide financial reporting and analysis to support business growth
- Work closely with all departmental management and local company directors to implement business strategy
- Strong leadership and communication skills
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
- High attention to detail with strong problem-solving skills
