Finance Manager

In this role, you will take ownership of critical financial operations, contribute to strategic decision-making, support cross-functional teams, and ensure the integrity and accuracy of financial reporting. The ideal candidate will be proactive, detail-oriented, and able to perform effectively within a deadline-driven environment.

• Oversee the accounts payable function and related processes
• Review, assess, and authorise financial reconciliations
• Partner with the revenue department to maintain accurate financial records and reporting
• Manage and support operational finance activities throughout the business
• Compile, interpret, and present financial reporting information
• Ensure all reporting and finance deadlines are achieved timeously
• Assist with month-end and year-end financial close procedures
• Identify and implement process enhancements to improve efficiency and accuracy
• Provide financial analysis and business support to senior management
• Maintain compliance with financial policies, procedures, and internal controls

• BCom Degree in Accounting or Finance (essential)
• Honours Degree in Accounting (advantageous)
• CTA qualification (beneficial)
• Minimum 3 years' commercial experience post articles
• Previous experience within the transport or manufacturing sector is essential
• Advanced Excel proficiency, including Pivot Tables and VLOOKUPs
• Working knowledge of Sage is required
• Strong analytical and commercially-minded approach
• Ability to prioritise workload and perform under tight deadlines
• High level of accuracy and excellent attention to detail
• Effective interpersonal, communication, and stakeholder engagement skills
