Job Advert Summary

Eduvos is seeking to employ the services of an Assessment Coordinator based at any of our campuses.

Purpose of the role:

  • To support the coordinated implementation, tracking and reporting of DFL assessment-related processes

Minimum Requirements

Educational Requirements:

  • Higher Certificate in relevant field
  • Relevant Business / Education Degree will be an advantage

Minimum Experience:

  • At least three years’ experience in a coordination/project management role; previous experience in a Higher Education / Assessment environment will be an advantage. Experience working with assessment/training-related/proctoring software will be an advantage.
Duties and Responsibilities
  • Coordinate the assessment development and moderation processes and provide consolidated feedback
  • Set clear timelines and release schedules accordingly
  • Monitor the DFL’s assessment timelines
  • Ensure timely feedback to relevant parties
  • Release of relevant assessments at predetermined intervals
  • Source assessments briefs from Faculties
  • Conduct basic checks on DFL’s assessment readiness
  • Review assessments on relevant platforms (Gradebook / paper-based)
  • Coordinate assessment query process on a daily basis
  • Continues monitoring of incoming queries
  • Distribution of queries to relevant parties for resolution
  • Monitor responses to queries and follow-up where queries are not resolved
  • Distribute query responses appropriately
  • Refer training requests to relevant DFL/Eduvos role-players
  • Conduct checks on quality of online assessment system
  • Check for relevant alignment between module briefs and gradebook set-ups
  • Check assessment availability against assessment schedule
  • Provide administrative support to online assessment system users
  • Deliver on ad hoc projects/tasks as required (e.g. module mapping per year /block)
Functional and Behavioural Competencies

  • Computer Literacy
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite – specifically Excel
  • Proficiency in Moodle or similar LMS
  • Very detail orientated; an eye for accuracy is a key requirement
