Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Mathematics, Statistics, Computer Science, or a closely related discipline.
- Associate degree in Mathematics, Statistics, Computer Science, or 2+ years of equivalent experience may be considered;
Certification, formal training, or experience may be evaluated and considered instead of educational requirements. - Must know Probability, Statistics, and Combinatorics.
- Knowledge of a modern, object-oriented programming language such as C++, including appropriate use of object-oriented design is required.
- Must have an understanding of core programming concepts and techniques.
- Knowledge of Microsoft Excel is required.
- Must be able to communicate, both orally and written, with other members of the team and external contacts.
- Ability to handle and organize multiple projects and deadlines is required.
- Must demonstrate high attention to quality, details, and correctness.
- Must be able to pass a thorough background investigation.
- Writing programs and performing analyses to calculate needed mathematical features of games.
- Writing programs or scripts to manipulate, parse, or reorganize large data files into standard formats for testing.
- Conducting and interpreting statistical testing on game simulation results and RNG (Random Number Generator) data.
- Reading and interpreting jurisdictional requirements, consulting appropriately for interpretation.
- Reading and modifying programs and analyses developed by others to meet testing needs.
- Reviewing, understanding, and documenting source code written in various programming languages.
- Writing project reports summarizing the testing conducted and the results.
- Carefully reviewing analysis work conducted by others for accuracy.
- Working with external clients, communicating professionally and courteously on technical topics.
- Effectively communicating and collaborating with other members of the Math Department and other employees.
