About PwC SATIC and the role:

PwC’s South African Technology & Innovation Centre (SATIC) provides critical support to global PwC teams, ensuring compliance with regulatory frameworks and risk management. We are looking for an organized, dependable and delivery-focused Senior Associate with good attention to detail to join our TAD+ (Technology, AI, Data, and Third Parties) Risk Management team, supporting the execution of technology, data and third‑party risk assessments at scale.

The role will focus on performing and coordinating risk assessment activity in line with our established risk framework, working under the guidance of UK‑based Managers and Senior Managers. This role is critical to enabling consistent, timely and high‑quality risk due diligence across the firm, to enable safe and effective services delivery and operations.

Our TAD+ Risk Management team supports PwC’s client‑facing and internal businesses to identify, assess and manage risks arising from:

  • Developing, procuring, using and selling new technologies
  • The sharing and use of PwC, client and third‑party data
  • The onboarding and ongoing management of third parties

This enables the firm to operate safely, meet regulatory and contractual obligations, and deliver services with confidence.

Qualifications / Certifications required:
  • Qualification in Risk management, risk assurance or finance.
  • Data protection or security certifications would be advantageous
Experience required:
  • 3-5 years’ experience in a risk management, compliance, technology, data or third‑party related role, ideally within a regulated or professional services environment.
  • Practical experience supporting or delivering risk assessments, due diligence or control reviews.
  • Strong written communication skills, with the ability to document risks and findings clearly and concisely.
  • Experience working to defined processes, standards and service level expectations.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Comfortable working with UK‑based stakeholders and adapting to time zone overlap requirements.
  • Ability to manage competing priorities and maintain delivery discipline
  • Professional, resilient and collaborative, with a positive mindset
Responsibilities of role:

What you will be doing

As a Senior Associate, you will be responsible for executing defined elements of risk assessments and supporting the smooth running of a broader assessment portfolio. Typical responsibilities will include:

  • Conducting technology, data and third‑party risk assessments in line with our Risk Framework and documented process; you will work across Lines of Service
  • Supporting review and analysis of information provided by business teams and third parties to identify potential risks.
  • Ensuring risks, mitigations and outcomes are clearly and accurately documented in risk tooling and supporting documentation.
  • Applying standard controls and guidance from specialist risk areas (e.g. Information Security, Privacy, Contracting) consistently and accurately.
Stakeholder and team support
  • Acting as a day‑to‑day point of contact for standard risk assessment queries, escalating issues where judgement or senior input is required.
  • Working closely with UK‑based team members to progress assessments efficiently, transparently and in line with agreed priorities.
  • Coordinating inputs from the business, subject matter experts and various tools, ensuring dependencies are tracked and followed up.
  • Supporting clear, professional written communications with business teams, aligned to guidance.
  • Providing reliable workflow updates and supporting reporting needs.
