IT and Networking Intern

The Intern will assist in the installation, configuration, and maintenance of network hardware such as routers, switches, and firewalls. Key responsibilities include monitoring network performance, troubleshooting connectivity issues, setting up and deploying hardware and software, and documenting network configurations and procedures. The intern will also collaborate on IT projects and stay informed about emerging networking technologies.

• Assist in the installation, configuration, and maintenance of network hardware
• Help monitor network performance and troubleshoot connectivity issues
• Support in the setup and deployment of hardware and software solutions
• Conduct routine hardware and software assessments
• Document network configurations, procedures, and inventories
• Participate in IT projects and stay updated on networking technologies

• Currently pursuing a degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Networking, or a related field
• Basic understanding of networking concepts (eg TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP)
• Familiarity with hardware components and troubleshooting techniques
• Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
• Good communication and teamwork abilities
• Knowledge in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
• Experience with network monitoring tools or software is a plus
