Senior Network Security Engineer

Our client, a prominent force in the telecommunications industry, is seeking a highly experienced and security-conscious Senior Network Security Engineer . This role is critical to safeguarding our client's extensive network infrastructure against evolving cyber threats. You will be responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining robust security solutions, monitoring network activity for potential breaches, and responding effectively to security incidents. • Design, implement, and manage network security infrastructure, including firewalls, IDS/IPS, VPNs, and web application firewalls (WAFs).
• Develop and enforce network security policies, standards, and procedures.
• Conduct regular security assessments, vulnerability scans, and penetration testing.
• Monitor network traffic and security logs for suspicious activity and potential security breaches.
• Respond to security incidents, leading containment, eradication, and recovery efforts.
• Collaborate with IT and development teams to integrate security into the network architecture and application life cycles.
• Stay current with the latest security threats, vulnerabilities, and mitigation techniques.
• Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior security engineers.
• Manage security-related projects and ensure their timely and successful completion.
• Maintain accurate documentation of security configurations, policies, and incident reports.

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Security, or a related field.
• Minimum of 7 years of experience in network security engineering, with a strong focus on enterprise networks.
• In-depth knowledge of network security principles, protocols, and technologies (e.g., TCP/IP, firewalls, VPNs, SSL/TLS, authentication).
• Hands-on experience with security tools such as SIEM platforms, vulnerability scanners, and endpoint protection solutions.
• Experience with cloud security concepts (AWS, Azure, GCP) is highly desirable.
• Proficiency in security policy development and implementation.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to respond effectively under pressure.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to articulate complex security issues to both technical and non-technical audiences.
• Relevant security certifications such as CISSP, CCNP Security, or GIAC are strongly preferred.
• Proven ability to manage and lead security initiatives.
