We are looking for an experienced Logistics & Intermodal Operations Specialist to provide specialist operational and logistics input into a major infrastructure project.
The successful candidate will understand how different parts of the logistics chain work together, including ports, inland terminals, rail, warehousing and intermodal transport operations.
Key Responsibilities
- Assess and develop logistics and intermodal operating models.
- Analyse operational requirements for ports, inland terminals and rail logistics.
- Develop logistics service and operating concepts.
- Assess warehousing and terminal requirements.
- Evaluate intermodal transfer processes and operational efficiencies.
- Analyse logistics flows and identify opportunities for improved service delivery.
- Provide operational input into infrastructure planning and feasibility studies.
- Engage with logistics operators, infrastructure providers and other industry stakeholders.
- Degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Engineering or a related field.
- Minimum 7 years’ relevant experience.
- Strong experience in ports, inland terminals or rail logistics.
- Experience with warehousing and intermodal operations.
- Experience in logistics service design.
- Strong understanding of end-to-end logistics operations.
- Ability to translate operational requirements into infrastructure and service solutions.
