About the Role
Our client is seeking a dedicated and experienced Sanitation Team Lead to oversee daily operations in Midrand . You will be responsible for ensuring high standards of cleanliness and hygiene across various facilities, leading a team of sanitation professionals to maintain a safe and healthy working environment. This role requires a proactive approach to managing resources, implementing cleaning schedules, and upholding strict sanitation protocols.
The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership qualities and a commitment to excellence in facility maintenance.
- Lead, train, and supervise a team of sanitation staff to ensure efficient and effective cleaning operations.
- Develop and implement daily, weekly, and monthly cleaning schedules, ensuring all areas are covered according to sanitation standards .
- Monitor and manage inventory of cleaning supplies and equipment, placing orders as needed to maintain adequate stock levels.
- Conduct regular inspections of facilities to identify areas requiring attention and ensure compliance with health and safety regulations.
- Implement and enforce strict adherence to hygiene protocols and waste management procedures.
- Provide ongoing training and performance feedback to team members, fostering a culture of accountability and continuous improvement.
- Proven experience in a supervisory role within the cleaning and sanitation industry.
- Strong understanding of cleaning chemicals, equipment, and sanitation best practices .
- Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to create and manage work rotas and schedules effectively.
- Knowledge of health and safety regulations relevant to cleaning operations.
- Physical ability to perform cleaning duties when necessary and oversee physical tasks.
