Position Overview:

As a Materials Clerk, you will be responsible for managing the inventory and stock levels of our company's materials. You will work closely with the production and purchasing departments to ensure that materials are ordered, received, and stored correctly. Your attention to detail and organization skills will be crucial in maintaining accurate inventory records and ensuring that materials are available when needed.

Key Responsibilities:

Monitor inventory levels and order materials as needed
Receive and inspect materials upon delivery
Label and store materials in designated areas
Maintain accurate inventory records and update inventory system
Conduct regular inventory counts and reconcile any discrepancies
Coordinate with production and purchasing departments to ensure materials are available for production
Communicate with suppliers regarding orders and delivery schedules
Identify and report any quality or quantity issues with materials
Follow all safety protocols and maintain a clean and organized work area
Assist with other warehouse duties as needed

Qualifications:

High school diploma or equivalent
1-2 years of experience in a materials clerk or inventory control role
Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
Proficient in Microsoft Office and inventory management software
Ability to lift and move heavy materials
Excellent communication and teamwork skills
Knowledge of safety protocols and procedures
Previous experience in a manufacturing or warehouse environment is preferred
