About the Opportunity

Gijima is building the next evolution of its digital platform operating model through the Gijima 2.0 Platform Programme. As part of this journey, the organisation is developing Trust Shared Services: reusable, secure, governed and auditable platform capabilities that support trusted digital service delivery across the enterprise.
We are looking for a QA / Test Automation Engineer to support the development and validation of TSS-004 - Identity, User, Access and Entitlement Management, one of the foundational Trust Shared Services in MVP Phase 1.
This is not a narrow manual testing role. The successful candidate will help prove that the TSS-004 MVP is functionally correct, workflow-consistent, API-tested, regression-safe, evidence-producing, release-ready and demonstration-ready.

Role Purpose

The QA / Test Automation Engineer - Trust Shared Services is responsible for designing, executing, automating and evidencing the functional, workflow, API, integration, regression, smoke and UAT testing required for Trust Shared Services.
The role ensures that delivered capability is tested against approved requirements, business rules, process flows, acceptance criteria, evidence expectations and MVP release-readiness conditions.
For TSS-004, the role validates critical journeys such as identity registration, access requests, approvals, entitlement assignment, provisioning, access reviews, exceptions, audit events, evidence records, API behaviour and integration paths.

Key Responsibilities
The successful candidate will be responsible for:

Test analysis and planning

• Analyse requirements, process flows, business rules and acceptance criteria to define test coverage.
• Prepare sprint test plans, release test plans, regression plans and MVP acceptance test scope.
• Identify quality risks, coverage gaps, environment dependencies and release blockers early.

Functional and workflow testing

• Design and execute test cases for normal paths, edge cases, negative paths, exceptions and workflow transitions.
• Validate approval, rejection, escalation, remediation, waiver, closure and evidence-generation behaviour.
• Confirm that TSS-004 processes behave consistently across agreed user journeys and business rules.

Test automation and regression testing

• Develop and maintain automated test scripts for smoke, functional, API and regression testing where practical.
• Build repeatable regression packs aligned to the MVP scope and sprint delivery cadence.
• Support integration of automated tests into CI/CD pipelines with clear execution evidence.

API and integration testing

• Validate REST API endpoints, payloads, schemas, responses, errors and integration contracts.
• Test service-to-service behaviour, negative responses, validation failures and regression impact.
• Work with API, integration and software engineering teams to resolve defects and confirm fixes.

Test data and environment readiness

• Define and prepare test identities, tenants, roles, entitlements, access scenarios and evidence scenarios.
• Confirm that test environments are available, stable and suitable for functional and automated testing.
• Work with Cloud Dev Sec Ops  to resolve deployment, configuration and environment blockers.

Defect management and quality reporting

• Record defects with clear reproduction steps, expected outcomes, evidence, severity and release impact.
• Track defects through resolution, retest fixes and provide quality status to the delivery team.
• Produce quality reports, test progress updates, defect trend views and release-readiness recommendations.

Evidence, UAT and release-readiness support

• Validate audit events, evidence records, actor capture, timestamps, decision records and traceability outputs.
• Prepare and support UAT scripts, stakeholder walkthroughs and MVP demonstration readiness checks.
• Maintain requirement-to-test-to-defect-to-evidence traceability for governance and acceptance review

Minimum Qualifications / Requirements
The ideal candidate should have:

• Diploma, Advanced Certificate or Degree in Software Testing, Software Engineering, Information Technology, Computer Science, Information Systems or a related ICT field.
• At least 3-5 years of experience in software testing, QA engineering, test automation, API testing or quality engineering.
• Practical experience designing and executing functional, workflow, API, integration, regression and UAT tests.
• Experience creating clear test cases, test scripts, test evidence, defect reports and quality status updates.
• Experience working in agile or sprint-based delivery environments with user stories and acceptance criteria.
• Ability to collaborate effectively with Product, Business Analysis, Software Engineering, Dev Sec Ops , Security and Operations teams.

Preferred Experience
The following experience will be advantageous:

• Experience testing identity and access management, user lifecycle, access request, entitlement management, provisioning, access review or privileged-access processes.
