🚀 Sales Manager – Mass Market (Hybrid | Midrand) We are seeking an experienced Sales Manager to lead and optimise sales performance across a nationwide retail footprint.

This role focuses on managing a major retail key account (600+ stores nationally) while driving revenue growth, operational excellence, and a high-performance sales culture in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities Sales & Revenue Growth
  • Achieve and exceed monthly, quarterly, and annual sales targets
  • Drive execution of pricing, promotions, merchandising, and product launches
  • Analyse sales performance trends and implement corrective action plans
  • Identify opportunities to grow market share within the mass-market segment
Key Account Management
  • Manage a large national retail partner relationship
  • Maintain strong stakeholder engagement across regions
  • Ensure alignment on sales targets, operational standards, and growth plans
Retail Operations Oversight
  • Conduct regular store visits nationally to assess compliance and performance
  • Oversee stock management, product availability, and merchandising standards
  • Work closely with supply chain and operations to minimise stock-outs
Team Leadership & Performance
  • Lead and manage large, geographically dispersed sales teams (100+ staff)
  • Design and optimise commission structures
  • Recruit, onboard, and continuously train high-volume sales agents
  • Address underperformance efficiently and build a culture of accountability
Reporting & Market Intelligence
  • Track KPIs including footfall, conversion, productivity, and sell-through
  • Prepare weekly/monthly performance reports and dashboards
  • Monitor competitor activity and provide strategic sales insights
Requirements
  • 8+ years retail sales experience in a mass-market consumer environment
  • Minimum 4 years in a supervisory or managerial role
  • Proven experience managing large teams
  • Strong commercial acumen and analytical ability
  • Experience in FMCG, electronics, mobile devices, fashion, or similar sectors
