Are you a dynamic relationship-builder who thrives on driving growth through strategic intermediary networks? Netstar is expanding its Broker Distribution channel and looking for an ambitious Broker Sales Consultant who excels at turning commercial insurance brokers, intermediaries, and financial advisors into active, high-performing product advocates.
This role centers on building, activating, and expanding third-party distribution channels. You will spend your time in the field engaging commercial brokers, underwriting managers, and corporate brokerages. Your mandate is clear: establish trusted intermediary relationships, train broker teams on advanced telematics and IoT risk-mitigation solutions, drive product adoption into commercial policies, and dramatically grow lead and conversion volumes.
Key Responsibilities- Broker Pipeline & Network Expansion: Identify, recruit, and onboard new commercial insurance brokerages, corporate advisors, and underwriting managers across the territory.
- Relationship & Account Activation: Maintain regular, high-impact presence with broker principals, commercial lines consultants, and account executives to ensure Netstar remains top-of-mind.
- Product Enablement & Training: Conduct compelling product training, lunch-and-learns, and presentations on fleet tracking, driver risk profiling, asset security, and connected-vehicle solutions.
- Co-Selling & Deal Facilitation: Accompany broker consultants on joint client visits to medium-to-large fleet prospects, assisting them in positioning, pitching, and closing complex telematics mandates.
- Performance & Volume Growth: Consistently achieve and exceed monthly broker-originated quote requests, unit activation quotas, and net-new business revenue targets.
- Experience: 3–5+ years of verified sales consulting or business development experience within the short-term insurance, broker distribution, telematics, or financial services environment.
- Broker Savvy: Established network of commercial short-term brokers and a solid understanding of commercial lines underwriting, risk management, and policy structures.
- Mobility (Mandatory): A valid South African driver's license and your own reliable vehicle for daily travel to broker offices and client sites.
- Interpersonal Impact: Exceptional presentation, communication, and relationship-management skills to influence broker principals and line consultants alike.
- Drive & Independence: A proactive self-starter who runs their territory like their own business with grit, accountability, and strong negotiation skills.
- Market-competitive basic salary.
- Uncapped, highly lucrative commission and performance incentive structure.
- Backing from Netstar's market-leading IoT, fleet, and telematics innovations under a trusted, household enterprise brand.
