Sales Consultant | Midrand, Gauteng | Permanent

Turn strong corporate relationships into commercial opportunities across hospitality, stadia and sports-related offerings. This is a target-driven sales opportunity for an experienced business developer who knows how to build a pipeline, engage senior decision-makers and close revenue-generating deals.

Based at the Head Office in Midrand, the Sales Consultant will be responsible for growing hospitality and suite sales while developing new corporate business and strengthening existing client relationships. The role combines proactive business development, cold calling, lead conversion, account management, commercial negotiation and client retention, with clear monthly revenue and margin expectations.

You will also play an active role at events, including hosting suites when required. Success requires a strong understanding of corporate buying behaviour, an established South African corporate network and the ability to operate effectively in a highly visible, results-driven sales environment.

What You'll Do
  • Achieve monthly revenue targets and required profit margins.

  • Generate sales across hospitality events and suite offerings.

  • Identify new business opportunities aligned with the organisation's commercial focus.

  • Build, develop and maintain a strong pipeline through proactive prospecting and cold calling.

  • Convert lead-generation opportunities into qualified sales.

  • Develop relationships with senior strategic stakeholders and corporate decision-makers.

  • Manage existing client relationships and identify opportunities to grow their entertainment spend.

  • Build and maintain an up-to-date database of corporate customers and prospects.

  • Negotiate commercial and pricing elements with prospective clients.

  • Follow up on leads promptly and drive opportunities through to close.

  • Implement client retention strategies and actively manage client expectations.

  • Obtain customer feedback to support improvements to the client experience.

  • Produce weekly client visitation, sales status and market feedback reports.

  • Manage sales projects relating to specific product offerings.

  • Maintain current knowledge of hospitality and suite inventory and offerings.

  • Work closely with internal stakeholders to ensure client expectations are delivered.

  • Monitor client payments and ensure these are received within required time frames.

  • Host suites and support client entertainment activities at events when required.

What You Bring
  • A relevant Diploma or Degree.

  • A minimum of 2–3 years' professional sales experience within a corporate environment.

  • A demonstrable record of achieving defined sales targets.

  • Demonstrable experience selling sponsorship, broadcast and advertising products.

  • A strong current corporate network and South African customer database.

  • Knowledge of the sports industry.

  • A sales or marketing background with a sound understanding of corporate buying behaviour.

  • Experience engaging senior executives across different industries.

  • Strong business development, relationship management and negotiation capability.

  • Strong Excel and PowerPoint skills, including the ability to develop and present commercial opportunities to clients.

  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.

  • Strong organisational and time-management capability.

  • Accuracy, attention to detail and numerical competence.

  • Analytical and problem-solving ability.

  • An entrepreneurial, proactive and results-oriented approach.

  • The ability to perform effectively under pressure and against deadlines.
