Lead Developer - Android

This role offers the opportunity to provide technical and people leadership across native iOS and Android platforms, driving strategic mobile initiatives aligned to business goals.

• Provide technical leadership in the delivery of mobile products and solutions across iOS and Android platforms
• Manage, mentor, and coach team members, ensuring performance, growth, and adherence to best practices
• Lead the delivery of strategic projects on time, within budget, and at the required quality level
• Contribute to system architecture, design decisions, and continuous improvement of development standards

• Education: Relevant Degree or Diploma in Computer Science or related field, or equivalent work experience
• Experience:
  • Minimum 6 years’ relevant experience with a Degree/Diploma or 8 years’ relevant experience as a Team Lead
  • Proven experience in a Team Lead or technical leadership role
  • Strong experience working in SCRUM / Agile environments
• Skills:
  • iOS:
    Objective C, Swift, SwiftUI
  • Android:
    Java, strong proficiency in Kotlin, Jetpack Compose
  • Strong understanding of mobile design principles, UX, SDKs, OS versions, and device variations
  • RESTful APIs and JSON integration
  • Azure Dev Ops (Git) and Gitflow (advantageous)
  • Solid understanding of SOLID, KISS, MVVM, and Clean Code principles
• Non‑negotiables:
  • Hands‑on native iOS and Android development experience
  • Strong debugging, problem‑solving, and code quality focus
