You will be responsible for operating heavy-duty vehicles, maintaining logbooks, and adhering to all traffic laws and company policies. • Safely operate heavy-duty trucks, including semi-trailers and articulated vehicles, over long distances.
• Plan and execute daily routes efficiently to meet delivery schedules and deadlines.
• Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the vehicle, reporting any defects or maintenance needs promptly.
• Securely load and unload cargo, ensuring proper weight distribution and compliance with safety regulations.
• Maintain accurate electronic logs and trip records, documenting all activities and mileage.
• Adhere strictly to all traffic laws, road safety regulations, and company policies, prioritizing safe driving practices at all times.

• Valid Professional Driving Permit (PDP) and a valid heavy-duty vehicle license (Code 14).
• Minimum of 3-5 years of proven experience in long-haul truck driving.
• Clean driving record with no major traffic violations or accidents.
• Ability to pass a comprehensive background check, drug screening, and medical examination.
• Familiarity with electronic logging devices (ELDs) and GPS navigation systems.
• Excellent knowledge of South African road networks and traffic regulations.
