Warehouse Supervisor

Our client is seeking a diligent and organized Warehouse Supervisor to oversee daily operations at their Midrand facility. This role is crucial for maintaining the efficiency and accuracy of all warehouse activities, from receiving and stocking to order fulfillment and dispatch. You will lead a team of warehouse associates, ensuring adherence to safety protocols and operational standards. • Supervise and coordinate the daily activities of warehouse staff, including receiving, stocking, picking, packing, and shipping.
• Ensure efficient utilization of warehouse space and resources, implementing effective inventory management strategies.
• Maintain a safe and clean working environment, enforcing all health and safety regulations and conducting regular safety audits.
• Train new employees on warehouse procedures, safety protocols, and the use of warehouse equipment.
• Monitor performance metrics, identify areas for improvement, and implement corrective actions to enhance productivity and accuracy.
• Collaborate with other departments to ensure smooth supply chain operations and meet delivery deadlines.

• Proven experience as a Warehouse Supervisor or in a similar leadership role within logistics.
• Strong understanding of warehouse management systems (WMS) and inventory control procedures.
• Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to manage and motivate a team effectively in a fast-paced environment.
• Proficiency in operating warehouse equipment such as forklifts and pallet jacks.
• High school diploma or equivalent; further certification in logistics or supply chain management is a plus.
