Overview of Job Opportunity

We are looking for a detail‑oriented, highly creative Post‑Production & Social Media Content Specialist to support GoEngineer’s growing video initiatives. This role is ideal for someone who loves shaping raw content into compelling final deliverables for all the different platforms, thrives in fast‑paced digital environments, and enjoys the intersection of editing, storytelling, and social media strategy.

This is primarily a post‑production role with an emphasis on video and photo
editing, repurposing content, social scheduling, analytics, and thumbnail creation
. This position is primarily working in tandem with senior videographer to help support our large editing workload and social scheduling.

Your key contributions in this role will be:
Video Editing & Post‑Production (Primary)
  • Edit raw 4K footage in Adobe Premiere Pro and Audition to produce polished, professional final videos.
  • Transform long‑form interviews, webinars, training sessions, and technical footage into clear, engaging content — even without prior subject knowledge.
  • Organize media efficiently and build clean project sequences that align with footage types, aspect ratios, and required export settings.
  • Identify key moments within long‑form content and repurpose them into multiple short‑form stand‑alone videos with strong hooks and high retention.
  • Add final polish to videos created by internal engineers, including smoothing edits, refining pacing, cleaning audio, and improving visual clarity.
  • Maintain consistent file structures, naming conventions, and proxy workflows to support multi‑editor collaboration and prevent project confusion.
  • Work confidently with footage you did not shoot and without full context or product knowledge, using intuition to shape cohesive narratives.
  • Create engaging hooks, tighten pacing, and build edits optimized for viewer retention across social platforms.
  • Design clean lower‑thirds and simple text or motion graphics using templates and brand‑aligned typography and color standards.
  • Perform basic color correction to ensure balanced, cohesive, natural‑looking footage across all clips and scenes.
  • Apply appropriate sequence and export settings for You Tube, Reels, Shorts, Tik Tok, and long‑form content.
  • Add and balance music/SFX thoughtfully and only when necessary to support pacing while maintaining clear, consistent audio levels.
  • Clean and enhance poor audio using noise reduction, EQ, and loudness normalization to achieve high‑quality voice clarity.
  • Edit videos with platform safe zones in mind, ensuring key visuals and text aren’t covered by captions, buttons, or interface elements on Tik Tok, Reels, or Shorts.
Social Media Strategy & Management
  • Schedule content across multiple platforms (You Tube, Linked In, Instagram, Tik Tok, Facebook) and work with team to have a consistent posting calendar.
  • Generate platform‑specific content variants optimized for short attention spans.
  • Work with team to track performance analytics and use insights to adjust posting strategies.
  • Help identify top‑performing themes and formats to help guide future content.
