We are seeking an experienced Medical Biller to join a growing specialty healthcare organization. This role is ideal for someone who knows medical billing inside and out, enjoys resolving complex claims and denials, and understands how strong revenue cycle work directly supports patient care.
What You’ll Do- Submit and manage medical claims accurately and timely
- Work denied and unpaid claims through resolution
- Review and interpret EOBs and payer responses
- Research reimbursement discrepancies and billing issues
- Follow up with insurance companies on outstanding claims
- Post and reconcile payments and patient accounts as needed
- Identify billing errors, trends, and process gaps
- Work closely with intake, clinical, and revenue cycle teams
- Help improve billing processes and share knowledge across the team
- 2+ years of medical billing experience
- Strong experience with claims, denials, reimbursement, and insurance follow-up
- Solid understanding of the full medical billing and revenue cycle process
- Experience with EHR/EMR systems and clearinghouses
- Ability to read and interpret EOBs
- Strong problem-solving, research, and critical-thinking skills
- Comfortable managing a high-volume workload independently
- Strong attention to detail
- Proficiency with Microsoft Outlook, Word, and Excel
- Infusion billing or specialty medical billing
- AdvancedMD or similar billing platform experience
- Specialty pharmacy or specialty healthcare experience
- Advanced Excel skills
- CPC, CCA, CCS, or other billing/coding certification
Experience as a Medical Biller, Medical Billing Specialist, Revenue Cycle Specialist, Denials Specialist, Insurance Follow-Up Specialist, or Specialty Billing Specialist could be a strong fit.
