Escrow Assistants Wanted
Escrow assistants are crucial to our industry‑leading success. If you can work well under pressure, provide excellent customer service, and understand and apply escrow principles, being an escrow assistant for Cottonwood Title in one of our Salt Lake offices is an excellent fit for you.
Cottonwood Title has been around since 2000 and has about 125 employees in eight locations along the Wasatch Front. We are known for our expertise, team‑first environment, and robust customer base. With us, you will learn or expand upon your title and escrow knowledge.
What You Will DoYour duties include preparing files for closing by arranging to repay outstanding loans on the property, investigating problems with the property title, drafting closing disclosures, interacting with customers, and sending and receiving funds to close transactions. Licensed escrow assistants can help with closings.
Every day in escrow feels different. Some days, you arrange payoffs, while others involve sending wires to several transaction participants or doing any of a thousand other things. All the while, you're working with your team and interacting with customers.
Qualifications / Skills- Experience as an escrow assistant
- Understanding of escrow and residential real estate terminology
- Sharp attention to detail
- Customer service experience
- Ability to learn quickly
- Capacity with technology, including MS Office and Excel
- Knowledge of residential real estate terminology is helpful
- Escrow experience is a plus
Escrow assistants earn a salary and, as they become more experienced, are also eligible for team production bonuses. Benefits include insurance (medical, dental, vision, and life), a 401(k) with matching, paid time off, and several paid holidays.
Salary: $50,000 - $70,000 per year
