Job Description

Create an outstanding customer experience through exceptional service. Establish and maintain a safe and clean environment that encourages our customers to return. Demonstrate the company's core values of respect, honesty, integrity, diversity, inclusion, and safety of others.

Responsibilities

Essential Job Functions:

Bag groceries at check out for customers, striving for at least five items per bag without damage.

Follow best practices for bagging items in various types of bags (reusable, plastic, paper).

Assist in removing customer's merchandise from the bottom of baskets for checkout.

Offer to help customers load bags into their cars.

Perform basic shelf conditioning and inform customers of grocery specials.

Return merchandise to store shelves and gather/basket bascarts.

Clean spills, pick up trash inside the store and parking lot, and clean all areas inside and outside the store.

Handle and assemble seasonal merchandise.

Understand store layout, locate products, and conduct price checks for cashiers.

Reinforce safety programs, comply with safety procedures, and report unsafe conditions or incidents.

Adhere to all food safety regulations and guidelines.

Inspect equipment regularly and report repairs needed.

Create a welcoming environment, assist customers with questions about products.

Follow all legal and company guidelines, work cooperatively in a high-paced environment, and manage conflicts professionally.

Act with honesty and integrity regarding customer and business information.

Follow directions and seek assistance when needed to resolve issues.

Support and assist minors, individuals with special needs, and older adults.

Perform essential functions with or without reasonable accommodation.

Qualifications

Minimum Position Qualifications:

Customer Service skills
Effective communication skills

Desired Previous Job Experience:

Retail experience preferred but not necessary
